UK Regional Sales Manager (Two vacancies available: RSM North and RSM South-East)

The main purpose of the role:

To drive, develop and deliver sales growth for Meridian via a network of existing and new integrators and resellers, increasing the penetration and effectiveness of the UK & Eire distribution business across all channels and contributing to Meridian’s overall company success.

Main Duties:

  • Develop, deliver and maximise the sales & success of Meridian’s products & DbM brands across all accounts
  • Work with the UK Sales Manager to create, manage, and communicate sales plans
  • Build effective commercial relationships, achieve objectives and exceed sales targets via the existing reseller network and by developing new customers
  • Drive sales success by leading regular business & opportunity reviews, face-to-face meetings and customer demonstrations
  • Represent Meridian & DbM brands to promote products at industry and client events
  • Work closely with & collaborate across the entire Meridian team to ensure all business opportunities are delivered

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ sales & business development experience with high-performance Audio/Video products and services
  • B2B sales and channel growth expertise within the Custom Integration, HiFi, Consumer Electronics or Pro/Commercial Audio sectors
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering sales objectives
  • Ability to communicate relevant technical information effectively

Production Test Technician

The main purpose of the role:

Production testing of Analog and digital A/V products (amplifiers, surround processors, loudspeakers, streaming and video processors) using manual instructions and PC driven test systems.

To perform other tasks within production as and when required.

Main Duties:

  • Perform Test on products while following detailed test procedures.
  • Functional test and set-up of printed circuit boards.
  • Micro-controller code loading.
  • Acceptance of sub-assemblies for burn in (soak), including mains safety checks.
  • Primary functional testing of chassis sub-assemblies.
  • Identification and repair of non-conforming products, including fault finding down to component level and associated record keeping.
  • Functional final test of sub-assemblies.
  • Assist the Production test and Verification Engineer with production testing and feedback during NPI.
  • Compliance testing, A inspection and record keeping of finished products.

Qualifications Required:

BTEC/ONC/HNC level in electronics engineering.

However consideration will be given to other applications with suitable experience and understanding in similar role.

Experience:

  • Previous practical experience and a working knowledge of A/V products (amplifiers, surround processors, loudspeakers, streaming and video processors).
  • Experience and a working knowledge of Flying probe and bed of nails testing would be advantageous.

Skills:

  • Ideally will be familiar with both Analogue and Digital circuit boards.
  • Should be IT literate.
  • Must be able to read circuit diagrams and follow detailed Test Procedures.
  • Must be able to fault find to component level on mixed technology printed circuit boards.
  • Must have a good eye for detail and be able to work on own initiative.
  • Have a flexible approach to working within a production team environment.
  • A proactive approach with attention to detail continues improvement

Warehouse & Packing Operative

The main purpose of the role:

Receipt & Shipping of product, booking goods into & out of Syspro. Packing and inspection of finished product. Kitting of PCB components ready for PCB production.

Main duties:

  • Cycle counting of material
  • Material receipts within Goods In.
  • Loading & unloading of delivery/collection vehicles.
  • Material movements to designated storage area.
  • Understanding of H&S requirements to keep the WH safe & tidy.
  • Assist in making positive change within the WH to improve overall efficiency.
  • Shipping product from Finished Goods WH.
  • Preparing shipments pallets.
  • Packing and inspection of finished products.
  • Creating product labels.
  • Scanning products into warehouse
  • Build sheets scanned to quality department
  • Packing of spare parts and service units and loan stock units.
  • Use of MRP system.
  • Kitting of 1st and 2nd Stage PCB components.
  • Ensuring PCB components are correctly stored and accounted for in the kitting area.
  • Use of forklift trucks. Counterbalance & Flexi.
  • Some heavy lifting needed.
  • To perform other duties as required.

Qualifications required:

No specific qualifications required. A general standard of education is desirable.

Experience required:

Previous WH & fork truck usage experience preferred. Previous experience of packing high value goods is desirable. Knowledge of electronic components to recognise the different types.

Skills required:

  • Work unsupervised in a methodical & tidy manner.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Must be physically able to lift heavy loads following H&S guidelines.
  • Computer literate.
  • An individual who works well within a team & alone, who is self-motivated & can work well under pressure.
  • Great attention to detail & commitment.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to perform to a high-quality standard.
  • Flexible and not resistant to change.
  • Counterbalance Forklift licence.
  • Able to recognise electronic components and have an understanding of handling requirement of such components.
